FAQ - basic rules!

a must read for all niptuckfans, please check back often if you are not sure. here is a list of things that bug me and maybe get you banned & your thread deleted:
* being rude to any niptuckfan, the admin [nychen] or just rude in general
* being immature and disrespectful
* posting the same topic more than once in several different sections of the forum [this is often called spam]
* spam such as selling items on this site, promoting non-"Nip/Tuck" related items, linking to affliates, linking to porn/warez/illegal download sites
* talking about downloading the show [the FX/"Nip/Tuck" cast & crew read this site...FOX owns FX, FOX sues fansites for many many reasons, this being one of them]
* typing in capital letters [this is considered shouting]
* posting the same question that's been posted before, do a search or read through the forums to get familiar with things
* etc...
this is a basic list...pretty common things-not-to-do on a forum/message board, just use common sense and most things should be fine!
if you've been banned, i will usually clear the banned list at the end of the month...this will give you a 2nd chance to be a nitpuckfan here. |

time to add something new to the batch:
* try to avoid getting caught in the fire of topics like:
politics, religion and sexual preferences, even pc vs. mac
everyone is sensitive about certain things, and i've noticed that alot of positive and negative things can be said about the above topics, please try to avoid or take it off-site.
* thread-hijacking, aka going offtopic in a thread...i've noticed this happening alot lately. try to stay on topic, if you need to discuss something else, create a new topic, it'll be easier to read for all! |
