It seems that way, Cat. The other board where Ryan used to post seems to be dead. I don't know what happened to it because they still had a lot of people posting there. |

I know, ladies! I hate spoilers too! Much better if you can hide them. Not everyone
wants to ruin the anticipation of a show by knowing what's to come in advance. |

They had a special thread for Spoilers. But, I noticed that some people would talk about the spoilers in the general discussions about the episodes. Strange that it just disappeared when we are nearing the end of the show. |

I'm never too far away, gang. But kind of like the time (2003?) that we were all worried about what had happened to Champagnechaser/Jenny, I am seriously worried about Nychen/Nancy. She strikes me (from the outside looking in; what do I know?) as being a responsible individual. It just doesn't seem like the Nychen we know to abandon the very Forum she created.
Further to that, where's Bignip; where's Siddcarver? Their input always made me smile (ok, and occasionally cringe). We still ever so often hear from NTL, Lifecoach, Avalon, GJR, Candy, Stevecoy, EveryDiva, Seniorlurker, FlameonIkeDragon, LoveCT, Avalon and even Adam602, but Biggie & Sidd seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth. (My apologies if I failed to mention any longtimers.)
As to cat's question:>>IS THIS THING STILL ALIVE<<, I actually think we cherish (is that too strong a word?) the relationships we've made here on the Board more than the TV show at this point. That may sound trite, but think about it...we've posted pictures of ourselves on this Forum, given each other advice on childrearing, marriage, dating, sex (Gulp! That last one's gonna come back to *bite* some of us someday), cheered on the high school and college graduates here, sent good wishes, hopes & prayers to Lifecoach to get pregnant (and she did!!!), been featured in LKraemer's incredible FanFic, boasted about our accomplishments in life, talked endlessly about our pets, our likes & dislikes, our jobs, shared every type of news, sports, current events and celebrity gossip/dumb trivia, a few of us now FaceBook and email each other. Who here didn't even for a brief moment shed a tear or feel sorrow that our friend of many "seasons," BabyPhat/90210/Wanda passed away? Who didn't inwardly cheer when LifeCoach had her baby? Who didn't grin when LatinBeauty cyber-pole-danced or Biggie and MTHC poured cyber drinks and shared YouTube videos. Need I say more...?
Ya get it? Many of us have become "pals," even though we've never met. A couple of us *have* met. It's pretty remarkable, if you ask me. Nancy's brainchild, Niptuckfans.com, has brought scores of strangers (some of us stranger than others!) from all over the world to shoot the breeze, laugh, cry, and oh, yeah, blog about the plotlines of Nip/Tuck (DUH!). The TV show is ending, and the Forum will die and be archived somewhere in cyberspace, but we've come to realize that behind these silly avatars lie real people with hopes, goals, dreams, religious affiliations or lack of, humor, likes and dislikes and sometimes even*hurts.* It is my hope that many of will continue to contact each other with their FaceBooks, MySpaces, emails, telephone calls, Christmas cards and every other type of communication. I am going to post a Nip/Tuck FAN trivia thread in Off-Topic, so we can share some laffs (sic) remembering stuff.
Thank you, Nancy, wherever you are. Mazel Tov, happiness, success and blessings to you. We never even knew your last name, but look what you've done for us. Thank you Ryan Murphy, cast & crew of Nip/Tuck. It's been quite a ride.

Great post! I was on here quite a bit during the Carver days. What happened to Jenny/Champagnechaser? I also wonder if Nychen is okay. Seems strange that she left this forum and didn't keep it updated or hand it over to someone else.
It is also very odd that the other board shut down with no warning. How could you do that when the show is almost ending???? |

I agree-great post Lisa.
We've all shared some great laughs....Lord only knows i've rolled on the floor in laughter at times reading posts over the years. Hard to believe the show is coming to an end soon just in a matter of weeks. I will miss watching Julian on tv. I will cry--no--wait--actually--I will BAWL like a baby when Julian will not be on tv after march. I hope and pray he does another tv show soon this fall so I can watch him weekly. LOL
I eagerly await his movie "RED" this fall.
I've enjoyed this forum alot over the last 4 years-I joined back in Feb, 2006. *gulp lol i quite honestly don't know where the time has gone.
I do miss Wanda though. She is greatly missed. I miss her witty sense of humor she had. |

I agree too, Lisa (Superchick) and Lori! What a fantastic place this has been to come to.
Never did I think comerderie could be felt over the internet, or that I could just chat and laugh
and enjoy the same interests as I had.
I hope just because the show itself is ending, that it does not mean there is an ending for this
as well. To me, the show kind of was an added bonus, but the forum itself was a social activity--talking
with others.
It was more about the people for me.
I also loved the humor, and the talking, and Lori Kramer's stories (I was even thinking maybe
I'd post my own, perhaps.)
Maybe we should meet somewhere else? Perhaps not a N/T board (an actor inspired board, maybe?)
I'd hate to give up everthing just because the show is ending.
I will miss Julian too. Thank goodness there are DVD's and reruns!
I think I may cry.
I miss Wanda too. She was just a great gal to talk to. Loved her humor and her
knowlege. |

I hope this board wont shut down! I am still trying, when I get a moment, to read stuff that others wrote years ago but is still fun to read as I am still catching up on episodes! I am always amazed how much more I learn about the show and the characters when I read stuff on here! Especially from Candy - are you still there Candy?! |
