Well, this episode was much better than last week's. I liked the fact that Matt and Jenna were on (Is that the same Jenna? I couldn't tell) I just about died of laughter during the scene where Kimber's mom met the family, i.e. her ex son in law, son in law, and granddaughter. I still can't believe Kimber has slept with all 3 of those guys! Crazy! I liked the fact that Sean was the typical, moral Sean rejecting Curtis' wife like that. It's nice to see him back to normal again. I did notice that Sean said Christian and Kimber had been married about a year. That really tripped me up for a minute! And then I realized that there was supposed to be a year in between these seasons in real life. I really don't know where this show is going. I think anything can happen at this point in the finale. But I still think Christian and Sean are gonna end up together in the end. How many characters on this show have possibly referred to Sean and Christian as a couple now? "You two deserve each other"- Brendan "Go back to Christian. You two are obviously meant to be together"- Curtis I dunno...I just think there might be something to all this. They have really stressed the subject during this last season |

Surprised that Sean didn't stand up for himself a bit more from Curtis's accusations. There's a good chance that people around that office knew of Sarah's infidelities, as it seemed pretty clear that Sean wasn't going to be the first. The way Sean explained himself, he almost made it look worse.. wherein reality, the wife had set that whole thing up. You kind of saw that mess coming after Sean had turned her down. He should have given Curtis a little more to think about. I mean, think about it Curtis.. what's your wife doing in the first place going all the way out to LA, agreeing to get drunk with Sean and stay at his place. Sean should have said something. Matt a barista.. employed by the people he used to rob! he must have met the manager before getting that job.. because i'm not sure who's gonna hire an ex-felon that's fresh off of holding up places like the one you're hiring him to work at. impressive a barista's pay can afford a studio apartment in LA! maybe he's still miming on the side. |

I loved Frances Conroy's character lastnight. I loved her when she was on Six Feet Under too. She was my most favorite guest star in this episode. Melanie Griffith's character just wasn't believable to me, being Kimber's mother. I don't know why, but she just didn't in my opinion. I Loved Christian with Jenna, that was just adorable. |

Ya, that was a cute scene with Christian and Jenna. I thought Melanie was very believable as Kimber's mother. She sounded like her, and even looked like her a little bit. |

Christian and Jenna were so cute together. It was one of those awww moments. What a little ball of sunshine that kid is. I swear I heard her say "I love you," to Julian/ Christian and "See you soon." So cute! He's just so magnetic with kids. That's one of the reasons why I just don't believe Christian would do a 180 saying he does not want any more kids. Does not make sense. I actually do dislike the big named guest stars, but in this case I liked Melanie Griffith as Kimber's mother. Reminded me a lot of Kelly Carlson. Don't know why. Just a vibe I recieved. Wow, I thought Sean was being such a jerk last night. He seemed more pissed at his dreams being dashed than feeling guilty about Kimber or Christian. What's with the loyalty to Curtis by not sleeping with his wife? If Christian had slept with Sarah first, Sean surely would have been all over her. He was just thinking only of his own ambitions. I WISH Sean had some of that loyalty to Christian that he showed to Curtis. By the way, I totally had to shake my head in the scene where Matt, Christian and Sean finally met Kimber's mother. Wow, every single man in the room had slept with Kimber, and when Brandy had said tearfully that she had wished that they met under different circomstances because they were calling off the search for Kimber, Matt comes out with "At least we're all here now." Huh? What an INSENSITVE thing to say! Same old Matt! modified: Jan 29 10 - 12:21 am GMT

I found the episode quite depressing. Not just because of Kimber's supposed death (you can check out spolers if you want to know one way or another) but more and more you get the realization that all of these people are just stuck in the rut of a life and will never get out. Sean is disgusted with Christian yet stays because he loves him so much. There are certainly other ways to go to Africa even without Curtis, so Sean didn't really want to go. Christian is the same old self. I thought Melanie Griffin was really good, she had this really vulnerability without the venom that Kimber had, yet Christian still used her basically for his own needs. He wasn't as scummy as her boyfriend the car salesman but, in a way, Christian just used her too. If she'd stayed, he's be calling her names and treating her like a dummy too. Matt - right now he's in his "I'll behave mode", like he always does after he's done something really horrible - like when he was a super dad and husband, then became a meth addict. Then he was going to be a surgeon like dad, declined into being a robber and going to prison. Only a matter of time till this gets all boring and he goes off the edge again. I liked the dynamic between the 2 friends - how the guilt wears on her and she starts to hate the woman for making her guilty. I don't know if Chrisitan will find out about Kimber and Sean, after all, we've had Christian and Julia, both in conceiving Matt and in later years, so Chrisitian should forgive Sean if he finds out.

GTR, I totally agree with you when you say that Sean did not really want to go to Africa in the first place. Sean's totally stuck in the "I'm a victim" mode and I am so bloody sick of him BLAMING Christian for everything every time he turns around. To me, it's really self-sabbotoge with Sean (just exactly like how it used to be with Julia). I don't really think that Sean wanted to go to Africa just to be the "Duddley-Do-Right Doctor." I think it was more that he wanted Curtis to replace Christian as his partner, for Sean to have the partner that he thought he always should have had. The minute Sean started being attracted to Sarah and found out she was Curtis's wife, the fantasy started going sour for him. But instead of Sean being proactive when all his dreams were dashed, instead of him heading to Doctors without Borders or something like that, instead of doing other research on org. where he could help, Sean CHOSE to stay at M/T and CHOSE to keep being angry and restentful at Christian. Stupid. Bloody stupid. Is anyone else annoyed by this out of the blue plot development that Sean is pissed off about college and Harvard besides me? It wasn't like Sean was raped and carved by some psycho because Christian was too arrogant not to see that working on victims was too dangerous. Oh wait... that happened to CHRISTIAN!!! Did Sean ever even apologize for that or recognize C's pain at all? Don't think so! If there had to be a development about someone getting angry, furious and resentful they could have followed that plotline. I guess TPTB forgot totally about this one. |
