 7.03 Joel Seabrook Jan 21 10 - 3:04 am |
What the hell was that tonight? Was anybody else totally and utterly bored out of their mind watching this episode? Granted, they finally showed some sex scenes, but still!!! I do have to say that Kimber was so right when she said to Sean "I don't hate Christian, and I don't want to be him either," implying that he did. Very good observation there Kimmy! I knew Sean wouldn't stay mad at Christian very long, and I knew he wouldn't leave him to go to Africa. But man....Sean is not okay in the head. He has some major issues going on...they ALL do I just hope next week's episode is better. This one was a yawn |

I thought it was a very interesting epi. Vey dark. I always had a vision of Kimber doing something like that in the end. I wasn't surprised either how Christian rejected her and Sean bascially shloffed her off too. The Kimber character could never be happy with either of them and vice versa. I saw/predicted that in her character LONG ago. I could see it coming miles away. |

I totally saw that coming with Kimber too--MILES away. It says something about her character that when Christian kicked her out, she went automatically to Sean. (God, don't these people ever lock their doors by the way?) I agree, the MINUTE Christian didn't want Kimmy any more, he basically treated her like garbage too. Then Kimber went to Mike. Good God, I wish the woman would stand up on her own and be independent. What would poor Jenna think? Seanishot, didn't you just love Kimber's observation to Sean about Chrisitan? That was great: "I don't hate Christian, but I don't want to be him either." I think that Sean now thinks both these things: He hates Christian (though I think it came out of the blue and is plot-driven), but he also wants to be him. I agree, Sean is messed up in the head. The way he's thinking now, it's almost just like his feelings for Escobar. He secretly admired the guy, but hated him. And Christ! Did you see the way he roughed up Kimmy after he KNEW about Christian's choaking incident. He totally was on a power trip there, and wanted to one-up Christian. Kimber didn't matter at all. I must say, I am getting a little tired of Sean's "I'm a victim" attitude. What is this, now that Julia is hardly in N/T anymore, you have to have a character that whines all the time-- and Sean is now it? I wish he'd knock it off. Maybe he has a brain tumor or something like that. |

I have to hand it to the writers. They're managing to make me not give a crap how they end this. It's like watching an impending train wreck, just waiting for the crash and not really being in any suspense about it in the meantime. And why is it that Sean suddenly hates Christian? It's not like any of this stuff is a surprise to him. He's just now upset about the Harvard thing? Did that slip his mind for twenty five years? He's had his shorts in a knot since that whole college flashback, as if he forgot their history until now? Kimber is just a sad, pathetic character that had run her course, and frankly, pitching her off a boat was about all that was left to do with her. She obviously could give a crap less about her daughter, whom she's happy to hand over to Christian to raise while she offs herself. Christian raising a girl? How completely freakin' screwed up will that kid be? Of course, maybe Sean will help out. Annie's a good kid when she's not eating her own hair. I'm glad Sean decided not to leave Christian, but I hope he gets over this "I'm staying because I can't leave and he's ruining my life" BS pretty soon. |

Ya...it really seems like the writers don't care anymore. I thought the episodes with Teddy were good, like when she tried to kill Sean's family, and then the next episode where Sean went crazy, and even the season finale with the death row patient was pretty good. But these episodes so far have been very uneventful. I really hope something happens soon. It makes me actually glad that this is the last season. |

It all seems like a much of WTF moments, don't you think? Sean's "sudden" hatred for Christian most of all. I mean Jesus, Christian was the one who gave up his life in Mimai to stand by Sean's dumb ass decision to move to LA. And did Sean suddenly forget the whole reason that Christian (and Kimber) were attacked by the Carver was BECAUSE OF SEAN? All of these details seemed to have slipped the writer's minds with Sean's latest whatever. I pretty much HATED the "Sean wanted to go to Harvard" thing. It was just thrown in there to serve this latest plot, it was so obvious. And it totally basterdizes all of the S/C history that we all know. For one thing, why would Sean put up with any of Christian's behavior if he hated and resented him for all of these years? I agree, Kimber was a character who should have been killed off say in S3. There's really nothing more they can do with her character. On the whole, Kimber's quite boring. I quite dislike the direction that this season is going.

I feel like this season is being spent rehashing old plot lines. Sean and Kimber. Christian and Kimber. Sean and Julia try again and it doesn't take. Invisible children. As for Sean, did it slip his mind that Christian sabotaged him getting into Harvard by plagiarizing his paper? Oh, geez, I forgot, he screwed me out of Harvard, that SOB! If he got over it 25 years ago, which he apparently did, why is he suddenly reacting now? And why didn't they mention a little plot point like that in season 1? I mean, sure, I can understand how that could break up a friendship. When it happened, not 25 years after the fact! I'm not sure if this is a SPOILER--I want to reference next weeks' previews, so cover your eyes if you don't watch the previews. Does anyone think Kimber may become to Christian what Escobar is to Sean, appearing to him in visions? |

I agree. If this whole impromptu storyine that Sean now feels hatred over Christian for the plagarism thing is true, then what the hell? First of all, BOTH of them would have been expelled from the university for that, no questions asked. But back to the detail istself: It SHOULD have come up in the Agatha Ripp episode when Sean found out about Christian being Matt's father. We didn't hear a word. Instead, Sean punched Christian for the affair, and told him "I loved you the most." That didn't sound like a man who was angry and resentful of a college roomate who screwed him out of Harvard. Why have that line in there if he didn't love him like a brother? The rehash of old storylines is pretty accurate of a discription to me. After all, we've already seen Christian hallucinating about Kimber way back in S3. It was the Abby Mays episode and the Sal Perri one. |

I guess I'm in the minority here. I'm enjoying these last episodes. Yes, the Sean hates Christian thing is ridiculous. But, all in all, I think the episodes are entertaining. I even cried when Kimber jumped ship. Actually, Christian breaking down in Sean's office is what made me cry. Not sure where they are going to take the Kimber suicide because there are some season ending shots that make one go, "Hmmmmm." If you haven't seen them, you can look them up in Spoilers. What happened to NipTuckForum.com? |

Oh well, I thought this season would have promise after the way the first half started. But, nope. This is not the Nip/Tuck I know. I don't know this show or its characters anymore. I can go wayyyyyy the hell back listing inconsistencies, but there's no need. However, these latest inconsistencies in character history and character traits are an insult to any Nip/Tuck fan. I'm so very disappointed in Ryan Murphy and crew. Yeah, I blame the crew and the actors for letting this train run so far off track. Somebody should have pull this baby in long ago. Sean has a meth-addict-thought-to-be-dead-brother? Sean suicidal? Sean sexually violent towards a woman? (Kimber's throat choking/rough sex) Christian eating all that fat & grease, not bathing, not shaving, not caring for his hygiene and apparel at all? Christian not wanting his own children, even wanting to abort his babies at every turn? (turns my stomach) Christian being so cold towards Sean, for so long, for no reason. Who are these people? |
