nychen [admin's] thoughts3x06 Frankenlaura10.25.2005 finally a superb episode that pretty much skipped all of what happened last week except for christian being accused of being the carver, which basically set the premise for this episode - the business is in trouble! a delight to see all both gina and julia together, finally some estrogen after all the testosterone [men stuff] on the show! j/k definitely like them working together and starting their business, i like how julia dealt with gina's little 'extra' discount. glad that liz is getting alot more camera time too, will be interesting to see all three women together! heck i love the line: "I am just tired of putting them to sleep." Liz i really enjoyed this episode, after last week's [3x05 "Granville Trapp"], this episode really showed off how christian and sean's relationship is going [down] and how its affecting their business, vice-versa! i do also love the line: "Everything i cared about at one time...is dead. it's time I stop fighting the inevitable and let it all rot." Sean i was expecting to see kimber for some reason, maybe after when sean told christian about his life falling to pieces, that christian sighing, would go back home and confess his love for kimber....nah, that's not going to happen! i'm sappy... as for the main story, the guy [brother] who loves his dead sister's head, very strange. i guess it kind of brings the focus back to what julia said about her and sean's marriage: "I'm tired of destroying and resuscitating our relationship over and over again." Julia yes, reality is a kicker in your ass! i'm sort of glad she is the one to say this to sean, who is always trying to bring back the good ol' days if you know what i mean! he makes me so sad, his character is depressing and going to go looney soon!! no, not that carver way...AHAH! i wonder if that arm cutting will be a topic in a future episode... when both christian and sean were calling up their former victims, just kidding - er, customers, i kept thinking 'are they going to call mrs. grubman?!' we haven't seen her all season, and in a very long time since season2 ended...she loves christian working on her! dang... again, i'm very happy about this episode... "You don't think we're helping people?!" Sean sean is realizing that plastic surgery, the mcnamara/troy style is not what it used to be....i'm surprised to not see the carver in this episode, although i did not miss that plotline at all! the show is still brilliant _without_ the carver! at the end of the episode, where that olgobee [sp?] person came it to get a facelift, i'm glad sean is so bluntly honest, and christian still trying to smile and convince her [and save the business]...sean is still the more moral one while christian is still the more superficial one. but both characters are so complex, i love it. oh, as for the final head-in-a-box burning/cremation, nice...maybe that is sean's final moment, to start the uphill battle to happiness? i felt the soul in this episode...spilled out in fact, bleeding and tragic, but still alive...brilliant. rated A!
