nychen [admin's] thoughts3x04 Rhea Reynolds10.11.2005 "Well, there's a fetish for everyone isn't there?" Quentin dunno about you, but damn 3x04 was depressing! dark is not enough to describe the feeling near the 2nd half of the episode. "Abusers always try to make you think that they're the victim." Matt hmm, the last few moments of the episode, of christian going under anesthesia and christian carving himself [cutting his arms], means that desperation is showing. very tragic moment, both men wanting to take a step away from their lives and not think about it...which will probably lead to both of them doing very unusual out of behavior regrettable things in the next few episodes! i'm not going to talk about the 3x05 preview...not yet. the storyline with the old lady wanting to pretty herself up for her husband, aww sad and truthful to a point that shows you people should just be themselves and not try to impress too much! her love for her husband ultimately lead her to change herself, her face...and look, he already has a girlfriend! for fans missing annie, she showed up! yes and she's gotten her daddy in a big mess with the gov't's social workers! how manipulative was that lady?! damn...anyhows, matt seems to be fickle himself, having a restraining order then canceling it. i'm a bit unsure about the timeline of the episodes, how fast things move, patients healing vs. storylines like matt's court order?? i do like that matt is standing up for himself, still puzzled on how he's got access to drinking bottles and bottles of alcohol and he's only 16 or 17 on the show?!! he's a messed up kid. i like his bruised up look though, makes him look tough, manly. "Pain for pain...then we'll be even." Sean indeed a very intense moment when sean asks, begs his son matt to strike him in the face. i knew matt wouldnt, that's more suffering and guilt on his father if he doesnt hit him. i like this breakup of the family, sean having an almost more screwed up life than christian, aha! christian is blunt and i like that. he told off that rhea reynolds! that was a funny scene when she confessed she used a bread knife and not a grapefruit knife! AHA! it was a wholy different scene and emotion when we saw her in surgery and she was screaming about the pain, not being anesthized enough?! hmm not sure where this storyline is leading...better not be something tragic/firing for liz! didn't something like this happen last season? about the anesthesia? and wasn't bobolit addicted to this? or that was something else? i can't remember, we haven't seen him in so long... "If I embrace my inner pain, my pain in the ass will go away?" Christian i love that he's able to joke about his rape, good sign? or stranger that he's getting phantom anal pain? i think the show is clever to use this as a possible push of christian being the carver, the cutting to the throat not a slash to the face like the other victims, and then maybe not really being raped? who knows...the show is very good at manipulating situations and the audience does seems to fall quickly! or 2nd guess ourselves...not me, i highly doubt that christian is the carver. "I'm going to give you what you wanted all along...real pain." The Carver we didnt get to see kit or kimber at all this episode, so apparently next episode [3x05], we get to see alot of both! bring on the estrogen!
now onto 3x05' preview... also, i'm sure there are other proofs christian is not the carver. nice twist to the carver plot, but i dont believe it for one second. nice try ryan murphy. AH!
